First Day of June and Angela is at Price Park with her school class for a fun day of play and pizza for lunch!!
I can not beleive that there is only 4 days left in this school year. I think for the most part, Angela's first garde year has gone well and been a learning experience for us all. It amazing how much she has leared this year. She loves to read and does it very well. There are many words that she sounds out all by herself that are hard. She has gotten a 100% on each spelling test this year. She has made several new friends. Her last day is Tueaday June 7th, so Mommy is taking 1/2 day vacation so I can pick her up from school. She seems very excited about it.
Unfortunately, the summer vaction wth Grandma Pam and Aunt Becky is off this year, so no trip to the beach in North Carolina. I plan on having her go to bible school from June 13th - June 17th. This will be her first time. She is usually with Grandma and Aunt Becky.
We now all have bikes, so we hope to do alot of bike riding this summer. We hope to have Angela off the training wheels soon. Dad decided he wanted to start riding a bike to work for the summer, so the hut began for the right bike. I think after 5 tries, we have finally found it. I am going to have to take a couple of short rides in. It has been forever since I have been on one.
We have decided to sell the Jeep and get another Prius. We both love mine so much and the gas millage is unbelievable. I just hope we can find one like mine. He is shopping already.
Well, I guess I had better get back to work!!
Update again soon :)

It is hard for me to beleive that Angela will be 7 on Saturday. She has gotten so tall, with beautiful brown eyes like her Dad. She has a good heart.
We have started the school year a little rough but hope to have her on track very soon. So far, she is doing well on the bus, so that has been a relief. She seems to be happy to be back at school and has made the transition from the old building to the new very well.
We did a family birthday party for Angela on Labor day this year, so everyone but her brother and Grandma Barb was able to be there. Dad did a great job on the food. He did smoked beef, mashed potatos, green bean casserole, home made rolls and mini-birthday cakes with home made whipped cream icing. It was all very good. Thank you Daddy!!
We are going to give it a 3rd try to get to the Cleveland Zoo on Saturday. I am so hoping she has a good day at school today and tomorrow so we can go. It keeps calling for Rain, but I am hoping that will change by Saturday.
She has lost the top 2 front teeth so she looks and talks a little silly, but I think she looks so cute. She has lost a total of 4 teeth over the summer. I do hope that the top teeth do come in a little before picture day. We will see.
Will update soon with the zoo trip and schooll updates.

Today is the First Day of 2nd Grade. I can't beleive it.
The school has moved to Plain Center so they are now part of the Plain Township schools. We were able to go to an open house on Monday August 22nd. I really like the new school and I think it is a great move for the school.
I took Angela today instead of her riding the bus. I know that the days of me taking her the first day will be coming to an end, so I will do it until she asks me not to. They have so much to take in that first day, it is hard for them to handle it all on the bus.
I am so mad at myself because I forgot to take my camera in with me. I will have to get pictures of her outside her room some other time. I can go to the school any time and get pictures with her on the outside.
As usual, She did very well and Mom had a small melt down. We hope to have a super year this year.
I will update more tomorrow with the events of her first day.

Is it really Spring??
I can not beleive it is snowing. It seems to be melting when it hits the ground, but if this keeps up, we could actually see the ground white again. The saddest part is that Angela is on her "Spring Break" but with it being so cold, we are still stuck behind the 4 walls.
She has buckled down and is getting her school work done now and behaving on the bus. We are really proud of her. It is hard to believe there is only 9 more weeks of school. I love to listen to her read. She can read backwords just as well as forwards. She is just so amazing!!
Daddy has now made it through his 6 month probation. He is an offical employee of the City of Canton and has received a small raise!! Way to Go Daddy!!
Ok, almost quiting time. I will update again soon!! |
I hear we are due for more snow, yet we are getting ready to lose an hour of sleep. I see Robins and green buds in the flower beds. Snow, Snow go away, come again another day.
I beleive we have made it through the rough spots with Angela. She has been good on the bus, in school and at youth group/sunday school. She seems to be getting her work done at school. Daddy and I are very proud of her. I do havve to say that she is doing better at home with me as well.
I can not beleive we almost through the 3rd nine weeks of school and the year is almost over. We have found out that they are moving the school into the plain local school district next year. I plan on taking a drive past the new location this summer so Angela can see where her new school lis going to be. It is a little sad to see them move. The building they are in now holds some school memories for me when I was young too. I can't wait to see what they will do with the building.
Daddy has pretty much made it through the 6 month probation period. I can't beleive how fast it went. I am so happy for him that this has worked out well. He really seems to like it there.
We have traded in the PT cruiser and we are now the proud owners of a Toyota Prius. I am currently getting an average of 40.6 miles per gallon. I am liking it. The only thing I do not like is the way the front seat is made. I am a rather short person, so I know feel like my Grandma, who had to sit on a pillow to drive because she cpuld not see over the dashboard in her day. With the front end being so small and not being able to see it when you are looking out the window, I need to sit on a pillow so that I can see over the front of the car. I am not a big fan of green either, but I really like the light-mint green.
Daddy is thinking about selling the Jeep and getting himself one too. We will see.
This is about all the news to report for now.
Happy St Patty's Day!! |
